Baba was feeling well enough to be upright this morning so we all went on the morning tour. We we went to the Old Chen House first because it is covered and it was raining. Right after we arrived it really started storming and then lightning. 2 of them were very close, Flash BANG at the same time close. Poor Ainsley jumped so high in her Baba's arms. We saw the most amazing things there. I didn't even bother with pictures much because everything was so detailed and intricate that it would never come through but there were Jade, Bone, Ivory carvings, embroidery, paintings, it was all wonderful. The Chen house was built between 1888 and 1894 for the Chen family to worship their ancestors.
After that we went to the Provincial Arts Shop. Baba decided to take a break and stayed with Ainsley on the bus while Mama went and shopped. I found a really wonderful present for Ainsley and bought it. I showed it to her on the bus and she wanted to eat it so it will actually be a gift for later, 16th birthday or so.
We finished at the Temple of the Six Banyan Trees which was built in 989. There is a wonderful pagoda there. We had Ainsley blessed by the monks and we wished for her a healthy and happy life.
